FIRST DRIVE-THRU AND ONLINE JOBFAIR TARGETS HOLIDAY SHOPPERS
OCALAOcalas
first Drive-Thru and Online JobFair will kickoff next week Friday and
Saturday, November 29th - 30th at Webster College from 10am to 4pm. Conveniently
located near the mall and shopping centers, shoppers can quickly drive-thru
and pick up a free goodie bag packed with career-related resources and
employment opportunities from local companies, government, and organizations.
At home they
can go online to www.JobsOcala.com for more detailed information, visit
virtual exhibitor booths, get expert advice and apply directly to the
employers positions 24 hours a day through December 31st.
"The
Drive-Thru and Online JobFair has all of the benefits of traditional job
fairs held in large meeting rooms, only it will be more convenient for
both job seekers and employers," said Angie Blackman, President of
JobsOcala.com. "This is a real community event as it only takes a
few minutes of someones time to benefit an entire family. College
students or other relatives that currently live outside of our area will
be visiting for the holidays and local employers can connect with candidates
that would like return and work in the place they call home."
The Online
JobFair "booths" and its "discussion forum" will all
be electronic, the participants employers and job seekers alike
will be flesh-and-blood. The link between the real and virtual
world will be through the JobsOcala.com Internet site.
Among the
numerous employers participating in next weeks Drive-Thru Online
JobFair will be Emergency One, Inc., DialAmerica, Compass Health &
Fitness, Marion County, Webster College and WTRS Thunder Country. The
Drive-Thru Online event is hosted by JobsOcala.com and Webster College
with sponsors including WTRS Thunder Country, Q92.9 and OcalaClicks.com.
Interactive
discussion topics online will offer resume advice and allow job seekers
to "meet" online with people in a variety of careers
webmaster, account executive, manager, programmer, human resources manager,
etc. who all will answer practical questions: How did I get my
job? What do I do? What is the career potential?
